Come sing with Barroom Messiah—a small group based in Portland, Maine, dedicated to taking Baroque music out of the concert hall and into public places. Their sing-along Messiah performances have become a local holiday tradition. We invite you to join us at Ada’s Kitchen for a Messiah performance.

The originator of Barroom Messiah is Charles Brown Jr. Originally from Yarmouth, Maine, Charlie is a songwriter/performer as well as teacher. He is music director at Nativity Lutheran Church in Rockport, Maine and has been organizing Barroom Messiah for eight years.

If you’d like to sing, rehearsal starts at 2 pm. The performance will start at 4:30 pm.
